"I want my newsletter to have real impact ... but it just looks boring!"
Newsletters should always focus on the three Rs: relevant, regular and rewarding. Give people quality information - not just promotion.
Aim for an eye-catching design and layout that suits the target market. The chosen typeface can make or break any communication (remember: sans serif is preferred for online communications, while serif i.e. curlier fonts makes for easier reading in print).
Good quality images must be a minimum of 300 dpi (for print) and 72 dpi for online newsletters.
Design devices such as pull quotes, fact boxes, and sub headings help break up the text and aid readability.
